ABOUT 

Cara Jones is a writer, poet, photographer, and International award-winning short documentary filmmaker. With a passion for creative expression, Cara Jones has established herself as a Community Development & Multimedia Storytelling leader. 

 

Whether working on a new project or collaborating with clients to bring their stories to life, Cara has an innovative approach to creating content that inspires and captivates audiences worldwide.

A graduate of NSCAD University, BFA, Cara is a student in the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development at Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia. She recently moved back to Grande Prairie to take on the role of Peyakoskan Program Coordinator with The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre. The Peyakoskan Podcast  initiative brings together high school students and post-secondary students from diverse cultures and backgrounds to learn the art of podcasting, collaboration and the power of storytelling to address complex social issues such as racism, discrimination, truth and reconciliation.

 

Cara offers workshops and private coaching sessions to help organizations and small business build their brand and apply digital storytelling techniques to their mission and vision.
